ANNA GAILBRAITH VAUGHNHair: Blonde

Anna never planned to have children, but a happy accident at a young age led to the birth of Courtney, whom she condemned to a lifetime of bearing the name Courtney Isabel quite cheerfully. More lesbian than bisexual, she's sometimes annoyed with herself for being married to a man (with whom she's quite in love and thus can't help herself). Anna is quite happy with the way her son turned out, although she's always been quite happy to let him turn himself out, as it were. Strident and rather domineering, Anna is also quite calm and laid-back almost to a fault. A night owl and writer of all ages of fiction, she's actually fairly well-known.
CHRISTIAN VAUGHNHair: Auburn

An independent web site designer who usually works from home, Christian sometimes loses track of time and gets a little too caught up in his work, thus causing him to forget important things such as eating, sleeping, and the identity of his only child. Bisexual but completely devoted to his wife Anna, Christian loves offering advice to Courtney, as it bothers the latter immensely to hear his father reminisce about old sexual encounters. Laid-back like his wife, Christian is also happy to let her take the lead in just about everything.
JESSICA FINE FAIRFAXHair: Red

Age: 38
Height: 5'5"
Jessica is known to all and sundry as Misa, a nickname she picked up in an online RPG. Also a writer of fiction, Misa isn't nearly as well-known as Anna except in certain circles, but she makes enough to be able to live on it without holding another job. Technically bisexual, she's always been a bit disappointed that her only son seems to be taking after his straight-as-an-arrow father. The fact that he's her only son also saddens her; she wanted more children but is no longer able to, and even having Taylor was a fight. She's somewhat excitable, a bit oversensitive, rather silly, and deathly afraid of spiders.
KENNETH FAIRFAXHair: Dark brown
Eyes: Brown
Age: 41

Like his wife, Kenneth is much better known by a different name - in this case Kaio, short for Kaioshin, the name of the character he played in the same RPG in which Jessica played Misa. Silly and playful, Kaio loves to tease both his wife and his child, whom he generally refers to as "offspring". His time not spent at home is spent working as a systems analyst. He also tends to go to pieces in the face of "scary scary bugs!"
TEACHERS
SAMANTHA GALLAGHERHair: Light brown

Age: 36
Height: 5'7"
Ms. Gallagher teaches pre-calculus and trigonometry, including a fifth period class of the former. Students of that class include Taylor Fairfax, Courtney Vaughn, and Courtenay Ransom. Unflappable when it comes to dealing with students, she likes Taylor and even Ransom, and evinces amusement at Courtney's antics. Ms. Gallagher is one of those teachers whom the students like, and who is also a good teacher. Part of her charm is her sarcasm, coupled with her absolute disregard of mollycoddling the students in any way, shape, or form.
SARAH COVERHair: Brown
Eyes: Brown
Age: 42
Height: 5'3"
Mrs. Cover, the guidance counselor for the last part of the alphabet, and most notably is Courtney Vaughn's counselor. A patient woman, she gets to exercise every ounce of that, considering how often Courtney's beleaguered teachers send him to her. She has a strange obsession with Smarties that rivals some of Courtney's weirder behavior, but on the whole is a nice woman, if a bit frazzled at times.
PETER MEISTERHair: Black
Eyes: Blue
Age: 45
Height: 6'0"
Herr Meister teaches all years of German, and is (un)fortunate enough to have Amanda Cohen, Andrew Cortland, and Courtney Vaughn in his first period class. Though he tends to be a bit taken aback by some of Courtney's more extreme creativity, on the whole he likes the enthusiasm. He loves teaching, and can be a bit silly himself at times. He's also a bit of an egotist - "I'm the coolest teacher in this school."
KEVIN MCKANTONHair: Brown
Eyes: Brown
Age: 40
Height: 5'9"
Mr. McKanton teaches junior honors English, and is one of those men who appear to be eternally nervous. Courtney often drives him to tears, and while Mr. McKanton can't stand him, his honor won't let him fail Courtney out of spite either.
